• Multi-role public safety leader functioning as Chief of Staff and Spokesperson through the University-County Emergency Medical Services partnership, with a jurisdiction of 20,000 students and staff:  For an emergency, first-response, and transport state and nationally recognized agency, collaborated with the County, Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, Board of Trustees, and elected officials statewide.

• Developed community outreach and partnership relationships, social media platforms, recruiting incentives, scholarships, and community engagement. Developed proposals, white papers, budgets, and advised the Chief and executive leaders of the University, recommending and implementing improvements to outreach efforts. Received national awards for the EMS agency and university for emergency preparedness, such as “Heart Safe Campus” and “Campus Ready: Bronze Level." Responded to medical and technical emergencies as a supervisor and advisor.

• Advised on regional public education emergency preparedness and public health issues: Implemented the American College of Surgeons' “Stop the Bleed” bleeding control course and rescue kit program at the University, empowering community members with lifesaving knowledge and equipment. Proven reduced spread of COVID-19 through working with 10+ cross-functional teams and University partners to strategically lead, plan, and manage operations. Facilitated and documented After Action Review and Reporting processes. Provided community engagement and public affairs training to staff to address community needs. Increased retention by 75% through the active use of continuous improvement and early recruitment strategies. Established impactful relationships with University Residential Life staff for preventative and student-oriented community medicine.
