As Assistant Chief of Public Relations, I developed, executed, and maintained programs to increase awareness and training for the general public. Such programs are stated in the description. Personal projects are still at work.

The Talkative Medic

Media Platform

To inform the public and engage with EMS providers about the importance of communication and the knowledge base of EMS operations. 

The page will increase awareness on important fundamentals of patient care and balance expectations to 911 callers.

Stop the Bleed 

Team Lead

Implemented the American College of Surgeons' “Stop the Bleed” bleeding control course and rescue kit program at Western Carolina University, empowering community members with lifesaving knowledge and equipment.

Suicide Prevention and Awareness

Team Lead

Partnered with collegiate foundations to spread awareness and training on suicide prevention in response to growing suicidal ideation and attempt numbers.

Hands-Only CPR

Team Lead

Continued national efforts to improve bystander training and comfort with "Hands-Only CPR" courses taught throughout Western Carolina University. Using the strategic communication plan "Give Life" to increase attendance and social media participation.

COVID-19 Procedures 

Advisor

Proven reduced spread of COVID-19 through working with 10+ cross-functional teams and University partners to strategically lead, plan, and manage operations. Established a response plan driven by WCU EMS to aid in transport and patient education.
